Fan Art Contest

Today is the start of The Life of Supercuty06's first...
I haven't given away anything on my blog in a while. The prize is a one month Club Penguin membership!

You have two weeks to submit a graphic or drawing by August 9. It can be anything related to me or my blog. Instead of picking the winners myself I will put all your art on the Fun Stuff page and let everyone decide who wins. Voting starts on August 10 and ends August 17. To submit a drawing or graphic you can comment on this post with a link to it, @ or DM me on Twitter, or email me at supercuty06@yahoo.com.

You can only submit one graphic/drawing by August 9.

Rockhopper's Whereabouts

Have you noticed Rockhopper hasn't made a visit to the island recently? Everyone's favorite pirate was last seen at the Holiday Party in December. That was over 6 months ago! Where could he be?

Maybe he got some kind of tropical sickness and has to recover on Rockhopper Island. I just had a bad thought. What if Herbert kidnapped him? That would be terrible! Putting my silly theories aside he's probably on his way to Club Penguin right now. Travel by ship can be unpredictable but hopefully he'll come to next month's party.

Do you miss Rockhopper?

Penguin Style July 2013 and My Penguin Review

July's Penguin Style was moderate. I didn't expect it to be amazing, but there weren't many new items.

There were 2 new backgrounds. 2 are Star Wars themed. The bottom left is an old one that returned.

I like the new flip flops a lot. The Easy Breezy is a sorry excuse for a wig. The hat is so big it can double as an umbrella. Plus you can barely see any hair on the penguin sprite.

The color coordination is cool. (My last sentence used alliteration for all you grammar freaks out there.) I'm not a guy so I don't have an opinion on these items. I brought the flip flops though.

The Summer Sidetied is a nice wig. I'll wear it after it loses some of it's popularity. What's up with the 3Dish effect on the Lime Slip Ons? I've noticed CP has been doing that a lot with new shoes recently. I personally don't like it that much.

Club Penguin most likely put more of their energy into the Star Wars Takeover. I hear there will be 20+ costumes. It's nice that the team is working so hard on their takeovers but that doesn't give them an excuse to slack on other projects.

Catalog Rating: 7/10

Since a new Penguin Style catalog came out yesterday, My Penguin was updated as well with a few exclusive items. You can see them here.

This is the Boba Fett costume for the upcoming Star Wars Takeover. I'm not excited for this party at all.

Here we have a normal page of exclusives. Only two wigs and a gender neutral outfit. Better then nothing I guess.

Update Rating: 8/10

Monsters University Takeover Review

The Monsters University Takeover was pretty decent considering it advertised Disney and Pixar's latest movie Monsters University. I like how we got to choose the outcome of the Scare Games based on which team collected the most points. I was a member of Python Nu Kappa. Team Oozma Kappa won! I think the results might have been rigged. Take a look at the following picture.

I did some math and discovered Team OK had 539,203,150 more points then Team ROR, 563,643,850 more then Team PNK, and a whooping 813,532,575 more than Team JOX. Those are some huge numbers! OK had a serious lead over everyone else.

The actual game was fun although I didn't make it to the last level because of all the crazy obstacles: jack-in-the-boxes, balloons, trains, etc. Club Penguin's party games seem to be getting harder and harder every month.

The New Mine Shack Design

There was a post on the official Club Penguin blog recently about CP adding a school to the Mine and redesigning the room. Here's a sneak peak what it will look like.

Personally I dislike it. What's the point of having a street? Last time I checked penguins don't have cars and even if they did driving is impossible. Also, the Recycling Center has disapperead along with our tree! I thought Club Penguin was all about protecting the environment, yet they tear down the wonderful tree and replace it with a school! THIS IS SPARTA!

I attended a protest about this very subject earlier today. Mrzero3 and Coollegoguy4 hosted the meetup and a small group of penguins tried to save the tree from being destroyed.

Sorry for the bad quality this was taken on my iPad

It's possible the Recycling Center was moved to another room because of the small path in between the Mine and school, but trees that big can't be moved. Then again this is a virtual world so anything is possible. I guess we'll have to wait and see what happens.

Happy 4th of July!

Happy Independence Day to everyone living in the USA reading this post!

I remember when Club Penguin used to celebrate by having fireworks on Ski Hill and the Iceberg. Wait, I think that was on New Years Day. Oops I made a mistake. The point is it would've been nice to see fireworks on Club Penguin again. Maybe they will come back someday for an event or party.

Do you have any plans for this 4th of July?

Guide to Asking Club Penguin Support For Items

I felt the need to write this guide because of recent events in the Club Penguin Twitter community that I kind of caused...oops. Sometime last week I told CP Support how I joined Club Penguin during the party Camp Penguin, back in August 2007, and wasn't able to get the free item, which was the now rare Marshmallow Stick because I was new to the game and didn't know about free items. The nice CP Support Team member checked my account to verify I was around Club Penguin during that time and added it to my account!

Now please don't get the wrong idea. The CP Support will NOT give you whatever item you want just because you ask for it. You have to meet certain requirements. For example, if you know you joined Club Penguin in 2010 don't bother asking them for something old/rare like one of the leis. They know everything about your account; when you joined, how often you log in, etc and won't give it to you because it would be unfair to other players.

However, if you weren't able to get an item because of a glitch (like if you met Rockhopper and got his stamp, but not the background) email support@clubpenguin.com about it and they'll most likely add it. That's what happened to me today when I explained to them how I met the Penguin Band a while ago and couldn't get their background.

I had no idea Club Penguin could do this until a few days ago. I hope this information helped you.
