The End of an Era

Hi everyone. It's me Supercuty06! Since Club Penguin is closing this month, I decided to write one last post about my experience playing it since August 20, 2007. Almost ten years ago. Time goes by so fast! It seems like just yesterday I was setting up my account and logging in for the first time. Every once in a while someone asks me how I came up with my username. Here's the breakdown:

"Super" because I like superheroes.
"cuty" is spelled with a Y because I wanted to be unique.
"06" looks better than 07 in my opinion (not to be confused with 007).

One of my favorite memories while playing Club Penguin was digging out the Dojo back in 2008 after a storm that made a hole in the roof. We got to meet Sensei for the first time, even though we didn't know his name yet. After the Dojo was repaired, there was a big party and ninja training began soon after!

A close second is discovering the Club Penguin community on Twitter! Way back in July 2012 there used to be a private server called "Pengable". Graser10 and Waltdisney6 were the creators if I'm not mistaken. I originally made a Twitter account with the name Darksupacuty* and eventually changed it to Supercuty06 after Pengable shut down.

Speaking of the community, I recently asked you guys to tweet me some questions. Here are the answers!

Project Super Secret Revealed

About about three years of waiting, Project Super Secret has finally been revealed. Introducing the new and improved Club Penguin Island! It's been a long time coming.

You can visit the site by clicking here. There's an epic trailer, which says this will be released sometime next year in 2017.

Unfortunately, I couldn't reserve my original Club Penguin username for some reason, even though I tried to connect them it used my old Disney Mix username which is Supercuty06CP. I've never liked CP at the end of usernames. It looks tacky to me. Hopefully, Club Penguin makes a way to change your username or transfer your account properly.

Note: All your items, furniture, etc. can't be transferred. That sucks so much. People who pre-register are said to receive exclusive items in game, which is mobile only. All abroad the hype train!

Are you excited?

Club Penguin's 10th Anniversary Party!

I know I quit Club Penguin and blogging last year, but there's no way I could resist not posting about Club Penguin's 10 year anniversary. It's too big of a milestone! I feel so old just thinking about it since I played for 8 of those years. My how the times have changed. This is what the loading screen looks like:

Farewell Club Penguin

Sorry to say that after 7 years I'm officially quitting Club Penguin. I have other interests now since I'm currently enrolled in cosmetology school and will be graduating next March. Plus Club Penguin just isn't the same anymore.

This year's Music Jam is a prime example of the direction it's going in by reaching a younger audience and not even bothering to decorate most of the island. I can't even remember the last time CP reused old party rooms which is what I used to look forward to seeing every month.

When Billybob, Happy77, and Businesmoose left things went downhill. Eventually Disney removed all merchandise (plush figures, trading cards, etc.) from stores except memberships. The original Treasure Book series was discontinued and now the only way to get the exclusive items is to buy certain membership cards. That's a huge ripoff in my opinion.

I didn't know there was a social community outside of Club Penguin until I made a Twitter account back in 2012 to advertise my Pengable (A former private server created by Archiyoso, Graser10, and Waltdisney6) cheats blog. You can view it here.

After Pengable shut down I changed my username to focus more on CP and made a lot of good friends including Chilisaws1, Orreanna2000, CPDodgers4, Turtwig1fan, iCPblog, Ferdthebird, Mt Orange, Trainman1405 (even though he's annoying) etc. I know I forgot someone because I always do so I'm sorry. Eventually, after tweeting for a few months I started this blog and slowly gained followers until I hit 1,000 and had a party to celebrate.

That used to be a huge accomplishment because not many players used Twitter back then. About a year later I stopped blogging to focus on schoolwork. For those of you who don't know, I used to be homeschooled all my life so going to cosmetology school was a big change for me. I'm kinda surprised so many people still follow me when I'm not nearly as active as I used to be. I give up on trying to figure out why.

I'll still be on Twitter every once in a while and thanks to Ferd giving me a 1 month membership I will briefly come back to Club Penguin when something Card Jitsu related happens because I LOVE NINJAS! But seriously, all you have to do is look up my tweets from when Card Jitsu Snow came out. They're so embarrassing...on second thought don't find them. There's no way I could miss an Anniversary Party either, so I'll be online at least once a year. If the island needs my protection, then Agent Super will return to the Elite Penguin Force every once in a while too.

Always remember no matter what anyone else says you're never too old for Club Penguin.

Cyberbullying in the Club Penguin Community Part 2

You might be wondering why you're reading this after I posted about quitting my blog. Well, I decided to post about cyberbullying because the issues in the Club Penguin Twitter community haven't been resolved since I became less active. In fact, they have gotten much worse. After taking a break from Twitter, I'm beginning to think I shouldn't fully leave until I know I've done everything I can to help you guys. Deep down I still really care about all of you. (Just pretend you didn't see that last sentence. I hate admitting my feelings.)

Anyway, I wrote about cyberbullying earlier this year. If you haven't seen that post you can read it here. So I decided to post more tips relating to drama and cyberbullying. If you get involved in drama, please take the time to calm down and think before you reply to someone. When people get emotional, they tend to say things they don't mean and wish they could take back. Believe me, I've wanted to pwn someone a minute or two later, but it's not always the best thing to do. Arguing when you're angry makes the situation a lot worse. Log out of Twiter or even turn of the computer, phone, etc if you have to.

Also, try to see things from the other person's point of view. Everyone has different opinions and perspectives. It's what makes us unique. If you don't agree with someone, politely tell them and if they get upset and resort to being disrespectful, that's their problem. Just move on and don't get offended when people don't believe or agree with the same things you do.

If you see drama happening, the best thing to do is not get involved. I know it's tempting to take sides and defend who you think is right, but all it does is fuel the fire. Stay neutral and do not subtweet about it either.

Last, but definitely not least, everyone needs to stop saying stahp the drama. All you're doing is making the people involved angrier. It's called reverse psychology. Usually, if you want someone to do something, you tell them to do the opposite. A good example is Thing 1 and Thing 2 from the movie, "The Cat in the Hat."

Shutting Down

After considering the thought for some time I've decided to close my blog. When I first started out it was really fun but over time my love for blogging went away and it wasn't as fulfilling as before. Part of that is because I wanted The Life of Supercuty06 to be where people would come on and comment with their own opinions and start discussions about the various topics I wrote about, but that never really happened. Another reason is I've lost inspiration. Writing reviews isn't easy for me like it used to be. Some of you might have noticed I'm not on Twitter as much as before. Now that I'm a high school graduate and enrolled in cosmetology school it's time for me to move on from blogging and focus more on my future career as a hair stylist which is something I've wanted to do even before I started playing Club Penguin over 6 years ago. I could never completely leave the community so I'll still be on Club Penguin and Twitter occasionally and you can still read all of my past blog posts. These are some of my favorites, Dating, Cyberbullying in the Club Penguin Community, Guide to Being a Water, Snow, and Fire Ninja in Card Jitsu Snow. My domain name is expiring sometime next Spring (I haven't checked the exact month yet) so supercuty06.blogspot.com is the URL that will always work. Remember you're never too old to play Club Penguin. Waddle On!

Golden Puffle Digging

When I first logged on Club Penguin after the Golden puffle was finally released, I was amazed by all the gold.

I immediately went to my igloo, put my rainbow puffle Rania on her leash, and took her out to hunt for nuggets of gold. Eventually, we found 15 nuggets and went to the Mine where I adopted my Golden puffle Sparkle. This is what she looks like.

After a few minutes of digging I found my first item. The Golden Laptop.

I was so excited. Normally when digging with my other puffles I only find coins and since I found an item so fast I assumed gold digging would be different. I was wrong.

For a while, everything was going great. I found  the Golden Lei and the Gold Diva Sunglasses (my new favorite item) and even found Spike Hike puffle digging as well!

All good things must come to an end. Sparkle decided finding treasure is useless and getting coins is more important.I spent the rest of the day looking for gold items to no avail. It's normal puffle digging all over again. None of my usual tricks worked so I quit. On Sunday I had a party on Club Penguin to celebrate relaunching my blog and we all went puffle digging. Long after the party was over I was still digging in the Town trying to get the Gold Mp3000. It's the last gold item I really want. After two and a half hours, I finally found it! This proves you can do anything if you put your mind to it and try hard enough.

What are your thoughts about golden puffle digging?
